John M. Decker was a faithful servant of Jesus Christ, a Christian author, teacher, and evangelist whose life was devoted to equipping believers to minister in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Alongside his wife, Sonja G. Decker, he coauthored Doing What Jesus Did: Ministering in the Power of the Holy Spirit, a practical ministry training book that has helped many grow in evangelism, healing prayer, hearing from God, Holy Spirit baptism, and deliverance.

John was associated with the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel and helped develop The Ambassador Series, a curriculum used to train Christians for hands-on ministry around the world. Through his teaching and ministry, he served in more than forty countries, encouraging believers to follow the example of Jesus with faith, compassion, and obedience.

He will be remembered for his dedication to the gospel, his passion for seeing people equipped for ministry, and his lifelong commitment to helping others do what Jesus did.
