The Works, continued.
     All six ministry skills in
Doing What Jesus Did were taught by Gunars.  He conducted the training in three churches: Ventspils Evangelical Pentecostal Church, the Stende Evangelical Pentecostal Church, and the Skriveri Baptist Church. Ninety-two persons received the training and the translated book, with authorization to copy the book and teach others to prepare workers in the final ingathering of souls before the King returns for His Bride.
The response was very enthusiastic. They understood the concept of "equipping the saints and sending them out in the power of the Holy Spirit." After studying the first part of the lesson on dealing with demons, Mudite reported that she had started conversation with two men in front of a convenience store. As she steered the conversation to Jesus, one of the men threatened her with a knife and a demon spoke through him. Mudite said she was not afraid and commanded the demon to be quiet in Jesus' name. The man became silent and walked away. She said she did not know what to do next. During the following session, Gunars completed the teaching on that subject and had the opportunity to emphasize the need to learn to be sensitive to the moving of the Holy Spirit.  Gunars said, "My heart and spirit long for the manifestation of the power of the Holy Spirit as described in the Book of Acts. Without that, we are powerless to significantly reach our dear Latvians."
