Latvian Believers Doing the Works of Jesus

Dr. Gunars Iesalnieks, from East Hill Foursquare Church, Gresham, OR, was in Latvia August 19 - September 7, 2004, to teach Ministry Strategies for Effective Discipleship. He translated our book Doing What Jesus Did into Latvian and used it as the teaching material source. This was his seventh ministry trip to Latvia during the last nine years. His family fled Latvia in 1944 as Soviet armies occupied the country. Gunars was eleven years old at that time. During the last three trips, Gunars has taught The Ambassador Series curriculum.
Gunars was in Latvia during June 24 - July 13, 2000, to teach the MTC
Foundations for Discovery module. He translated the manual into Latvian after completing the Teacher Intensive seminar at Portland Foursquare Church in March 1998, and presented it at two Pentecostal churches, in Ventspils and Stende, and at Ogre Baptist church. During this years' ministry trip, the Doing What Jesus Did course material emphasized the role of spiritual discernment in the prophetic word and demonstrated how Christians can learn to work in the power and leadership of the Holy Spirit.
