Medellin, Colombia Touches the Supernatural

Medellin - It became very evident that the explosive growth of the Pentecostal church in Latin America is due primarily to the pastors and leaders expecting signs and wonders to follow the preaching of the Word. Pastors Juan and Clara Montagut (right), District Pastors of the Distrito Central, confirmed this expectation during the week of our con-ducting a DWJD Workshop there in October. They oversee 450 Foursquare churches in their district, many of which they pioneered. As the many pastors touched the supernatural during our workshop, they told us, “This is how it was thirty years ago when we entered the ministry. This is how Foursquare began in Colombia. We feel we are returning to our roots.” As words of knowledge and wisdom began to manifest and supernatural healings became evident in the forty-plus practicum groups, everyone got very excited. ♥

315 Pastors and Leaders Prepare to Do What Jesus Did

Medellin - The pastors of the Medellin, Colombia region have been praying for a Holy Spirit revival to touch their area. It came during the week we conducted our DWJD Workshop. Eighty pastors and leaders responded to the altar call to be baptized with the Holy Spirit and by releasing a confirming spiritual language. Rebekka Otremba from Bogotá interpreted for Sonja, and Paul Otremba interpreted for John. The pastors were so eager for the presence of God that they rushed to the altar (below). As they practiced leading each other into the Holy Spirit baptism, even more leaders released prayer languages. During the session on Hearing from God, many leaders got really excited when they realized they were definitely hearing God’s voice, some for the very first time. ♥

The hunger for the Holy Spirit was confirmed
when they released new spiritual languages.

The pastors enjoyed all the practicum sessions as
they practiced the six ministry skills.

Practicing leading a person to Christ
was easy for most of the pastors.

Practicing leading a believer into the Holy Spirit
baptism was a little more difficult.

Divine Healing Should be the Norm

Medellin - When miracles begin to happen, it really gets the attention of everyone attending our DWJD Workshops. In this city it was even more apparent. During the practicum session on Learning How to Heal the Sick, over thirty pastors and leaders were healed by the power of God. We made time to hear testimonies from ten of them (below). We think divine healing should be the norm. In Latin America they pray and plan for the Holy Spirit to manifest in their gatherings—and He does. When we show them how to make room for specific demonstrations of the Holy Spirit, it is easy for the pastors to implement one or more of the six ministry skills. Healing the Sick by Revelation and Dealing with Demons are better understood and put into practice when pastors learn to minister like Jesus did as we read in the Bible. ♥

be healed by another lady who had never done it.

Practicing healing the sick is better demonstrated
when we practice on someone who is hurting.

this man being freed from harassing spirits.

Our team from Bogotá and Venezuela were given
gifts for making this workshop a success.
