First Stop - San Jose, Costa Rica

San Jose, Costa Rica - In June we embarked on a three-country, two-week leadership training marathon. We presented DWJD Workshops in Costa Rica, El Salvador, and Honduras. One hundred sixty eager pastors and leaders attended, coming from all over Costa Rica. Foursquare missionaries Nathan and Kathy Heatherly helped host the event. There was great joy the first day as thirty-five leaders responded to the altar call for the Holy Spirit baptism. They became even more excited when more received supernatural healing in their bodies by the power of God. Ten pastors came to the stage and personally testified how God healed them during the “practice” session on Learning How to Heal the Sick. We consider it a true privilege to be able to convey to our Latin American brothers and sisters how they can operate effectively in the realm of the Holy Spirit.

The Costa Rica pastors wasted little time in demonstrating that they can heal sick.

We were privileged to preach on the power of the Holy Spirit and divine healing in this church.

John prayed for about fifty for healing with the help of the missionary Nathan Heatherly (center).

Next Stop: El Salvador

San Salvador, El Salvador - Twenty-one pastors and leaders awaited our arrival to attend our three-day DWJD Workshop in their city. It was hot and there was no air conditioning. But we pressed on and gave them the complete six ministry skill workshop and a Teacher Intensive in three days. There appeared to be a lack of understanding regarding working with the Holy Spirit. Sixteen of the twenty-one who attended came forward to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. That caused a change in their thinking. When seven of the leaders testified of being healed by the power of God, they truly caught the vision for implementing the six ministry skills in their churches. When Sonja began teaching on Dealing with Demons, lightning, a loud clap of thunder, and torrential rain hit the church. The enemy was obviously upset with the teaching.

The pastors and leaders were very attentive when we taught on the six ministry skills.

John ministered to the men regarding issues that keep them in bondage and from God’s best.

Next Stop: Honduras

Next month we will tell of our last stop in our two week marathon ministry trip to Central America. We conducted all six ministry skills over a three-day period in Honduras and conducted a teacher intensive for pastors desiring to launch a Ministry Training Institute in their churches. The Workshop was conducted in the largest Foursquare church in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. Healings manifested and a large number of leaders received the Holy Spirit baptism.
