Honduras Pastors Getting Ready for Miracles |
San Pedro Sula, Honduras - This was our last stop of the three-country, fifteen-day ministry marathon! We entered these countries at the invitation of the national leaders for Foursquare. Our area missionary Paul Otremba coordinated the dates and oversaw all the arrangements to insure a quality seminar presentation for the leaders. We conduct all six ministry skills in a way that each leader can re-teach, by demonstrating the skill in a small group setting. The pastors and leaders joined the church congregation on the first night for a standing-room-only crowd of over two hundred and fifty believers (see below). Sonja taught on the Holy Spirit baptism with over fifty people responding to the altar call. The worship band was lively and loud. There was an expectation for miracles, causing the Holy Spirit to begin manifesting Himself in powerful ways during each session |

Salvation, Holy Spirit Baptism, and Healing the Sick |

When people come expecting God to manifest in supernatural ways, then He will. Conversely, doubt and unbelief will stop the move of God. In the DWJD Workshops, we strive to demonstrate the willingness of the Holy Spirit to do everything He did in the Book of Acts. This requires that we teach with a strong conviction that the Holy Spirit wants to demonstrate Himself in visible but very practical ways here and now. Divine healing is the obvious way the Lord announces that He is with us. Talking about healing is fruitless unless we demonstrate that God is more willing to heal the sick than we are to pray about it. The Holy Spirit baptism brings the power that heals. The prayer of faith opens the door for the power to heal a person. The prayer of faith manifests when we see and then act on the revelation given by the Holy Spirit. |

DWJD and MTI Presented to the Caribbean Pastors |
Kingston, Jamaica - Area Missionary Dave Stone invited us to present a DWJD Workshop to all the Foursquare Pastors in the Caribbean Region. The July workshop was conducted at the Foursquare Retreat Center two hours outside of Kingston, Jamaica. Over forty pastors and leaders came from Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Trinidad, and Grenada. All the leaders were very excited to learn how to conduct the six ministry skills and lead others into this kind of one-on-one ministry. Sonja stayed home during this trip to rest up for the next trip to Columbia and Guatemala. |

Back to Colombia |
Next month we will give all the details of our summer ministry trip back to Colombia and teaching the pastors in the cities of Monteria and Santa Marta. It was very hot during our time in both cities. We were fortunate to have air conditioning in our hotel rooms because it would get over 100 degrees during the day. I think we finally earned the titles of “old war horses” during this trip. It was a very productive ministry trip. |
