What a Year! What a Season of Ministry! |
|
|
It all started when we met Paul Otremba, our Area Missionary to Central and South America. We had the same vision: To provide pastors with a complete, systematic discipleship curriculum that includes training believers how to minister to others, exercising a set of ministry skills that result in people coming to Christ, being baptized in the Holy Spirit, receiving healing, and hearing God’s voice. First, we train pastors and leaders how to equip their church members to function in a series of ministry skills that result in people coming to Christ and being thoroughly discipled. Second, we combine the hands-on ministry skill training with the 36-week Ambassador Series that completes the discipleship process. The curriculum is sensitive to cross-cultural application. It is simple, yet effective. The result of trips to 11 nations: 3,000 Pastors and leaders trained, 1,054 baptized in the Holy Spirit, and 965 testified of being healed! |

We Conducted 17 Doing What Jesus Did Workshops in 11 Nations |

In 2007, John asked the Lord, “The only continent in which we have not preached the Gospel is South and Central America. Do you want us to go there?” The Lord said, “I can arrange that.” Little did we know what the Lord had in store for us. In 2008 we were training missionaries in Florida and met Paul Otremba, the Foursquare Area Missionary to South and Central America. He participated in our DWJD Workshop and reviewed our Ambassador Series curriculum. It was a match! He immediately arranged DWJD Workshops in Ecuador and Peru for August and September of 2009. The rest is history. Paul says the Latino leadership has been looking for a complete “hands-on” discipleship training program for years. Our program meets the need! It works in any church that has a hunger for the supernatural of God. |

3,000 Latino Pastors and Leaders Trained so Far |

Central and South America - As we look at 2012 and beyond, it is obvious to us that much work is yet to be done. Pentecostal and Charismatic leaders in America are encouraging us to continue bringing a “balanced” message of the supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit. Our message continues to be, “We are radical about our faith, but we are not weird.” We refuse to water down the undeniable fact that Jesus promises His followers that they can do what He did. (John 14:12-14). We introduce the supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit within a biblical context that any follower of Christ can understand and implement. Any pastor from any nation can rest assured that our curriculum and workshops can and will transform the lives of believers and cause them to become marketplace ministers. Ask any of the pastors we’ve trained. |

As we finished the last workshop for 2011 (above), we were so thankful for the many responses from the pastors. An older pastor said, “This is how Foursquare began in Colombia. We feel that we are returning to our roots! Another said, “This is how it was 30 years ago when we first entered the ministry. Praise God for bringing this to us!” At last report, in Columbia alone they will be starting 70 new Ministry Training Institutes. |
