MTI Ambassador Series goes to Fiji Islands

Fiji Islands—South Pacific—Senior pastor Steve Witmer, Bible Fellowship, Surrey, BC, Canada recently took a teaching team to the Fiji Islands. . Their mission was to introduce and teach the first of three volumes of the Ambassador Series from the Ministry Training Centers, Bend, Oregon. John and Sonja introduced the MTI concept to the Canadian Foursquare churches over five years ago. It has developed into the main discipleship training course for Bible Fellowship and is used by Pacific Life Bible College as a first-year tract for personal evangelism. Because it has been so well received in Canada, the MTI training curriculum is a perfect fit for churches world-wide. The materials have been well received in Fiji. One of the senior teaching elders remarked, “We have never seen any curriculum that fits our need so perfectly in Fiji as the Ambassador Series. Please come back and teach us the entire series so we can teach it to our people!” Pastor Steve and his team are planning to do just that. The Fijians specialize in strong worship. Music has always been a strong element in their culture

It takes a lot of chicken to feed a hundred people. Especially when it is done Fijian style.

Good food brings many smiles from everyone during the evening church festivities.

A shady place is found for after-church food and fellowship full of laughter.
