Workshop: Holy Spirit Empowered Small Groups

Silverton, Oregon—Pastor Rob McKeown, Silverton Foursquare Church invited us to conduct our Holy Spirit Empowered Small Group Workshop May 19. It was very exciting to train twenty-five leaders how to launch small groups that emphasize Holy Spirit-led prayer ministry.
The morning sessions emphasized the specifics of what a small group of this nature should look like and what is expected of the leaders. We discussed how to create an atmosphere where the Holy Spirit is allowed to minister freely to anyone needing personal ministry.
We modeled a two-hour HSESG in the afternoon session. This was very helpful to small group leaders planning on launching groups in the next few months. The thirteen-week recommended format from our HSESG book insures successful groups that will continue to meet over the long haul. During practicing the “ministry time” many were healed!

A fifteen-minute worship time is a vital ingredient to an exciting Holy Spirit-led small group.

The morning workshop session was filled with questions and answers from the leaders.

Healings took place for real as the leaders “practiced” healing the sick in a small group.

Teaching leaders how to be led by the Spirit can be full of Holy Spirit surprises.
