Peoria Moving with the Holy Spirit

Peoria, Illinois—April 10-13, Senior Pastor Cal Rychener and Executive Pastor Steve Shaffer invited John and Sonja to conduct DWJD Workshops One and Two at Northwoods Community Church, Peoria, Illinois. This dynamic and fast growing church of 4,000 is part of the Fellowship of Evangelical Churches (FEC) and is a member of the Willow Creek Association.
The senior leadership at Northwoods is sensing a greater move of the Holy Spirit and is carefully moving towards being more open to biblical expressions of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Our three-day workshop exposed over fifty of their leaders to the Holy Spirit baptism, healing, and how to hear God’s voice during one-on-one prayer ministry. The next step for the church is to slowly proceed where the Holy Spirit is desiring to lead the church. The after-service prayer teams are already operating in gifts of healing. ♥

Pastors Steve and Kay Shaffer, Sonja and John, and Pastors Cal and Susan Rychener.

Northwoods Community Church is a 170,000 sq ft. facility on sixty acres with 4,000 in attendance.

Three weekend services fill the 1,700 seat auditorium with dynamic worship and preaching.

Kids are a very high priority. Each age group has their own room, full of colorful props and toys.

We arrived early so we could fellowship and prepare the practicum leaders for the workshop.
