Gresham, OR—The anointing and atmosphere of the Holy Spirit are high priorities in small groups that want to focus on the healing presence of the Lord! So many small groups have reverted to a “us-four-and-no-more” mentality. There is nothing wrong with friendship, fellowship, food, and a little bit of prayer, if that’s your heart’s desire. But for those desiring dynamic encounters with the Holy Spirit where He speaks, heals, and sets people free of bondages, there is an answer.
Our book, Holy Spirit Empowered Small groups is the text and agenda for the all-Saturday workshop we conducted at East Hill Foursquare Church, January 19. One hundred and sixty small group leaders gathered in small groups of ten and experienced an ideal small group agenda that ushered in the presence of the Holy Spirit.
After we gave opportunity to receive the confirming power of the Holy Spirit baptism, prophetic prayer and healings began to happen at each table. As each person had hands laid on them, the Holy Spirit ministered through the others in amazing ways. Many leaders came away from the workshop with a definite plan to change to this kind of exciting small group.Y
