Workshops Empower Iowa District Pastors’ Conference

Clinton, Iowa—Pastor James Machen, District Supervisor for the Iowa Foursquare churches, invited us to conduct our DWJD Workshop One for the annual Iowa District Pastors’ Conference at the Church of the Open Door, Clinton, Iowa. We brought Holly and Steve Taft from the Bend, OR, Ministry Training Institute to assist in the November 1-3 workshop training. Nearly one hundred pastors, spouses, and leaders became very excited as they caught the vision for training their congregations to be effective marketplace ministers. We showed them how to train their disciples to lead people to Christ, into the Holy Spirit baptism, heal the sick, and hear God’s voice.
Pastor Machen remarked how valuable the training is for bi-vocational and full-time pastors for equipping their people to do the work of the ministry. He said it puts hands and feet to all the head knowledge we give out in our Sunday sermons. Toward the conclusion of the workshop, many of the pastors were amazed as the Lord granted signs and wonders through their hands as God healed backs, legs, feet, and arms of pains, rashes, and infirmities. They went home rejoicing! ♥
