Bend, OR— Eleven pastors from Texas, Illinois, South Dakota, and Montana came to Bend to learn how to launch a Ministry Training Institute using The Ambassador Series with the six ministry skill practicum sessions. What a joy to see these mature leaders interacting with one another as they learned how to conduct the ministry skills. They learned how to provide an atmosphere for their church to learn how to lead people to Christ, release the power of the Holy Spirit baptism, heal the sick, and hear from God as they exercised words of knowledge, words of wisdom, and discerning of spirits.
One of the senior pastors remarked that he was wearied of conducting his formal institute of academic learning for those pursuing vocational ministry. For all the effort it takes, only a handful attend. He said he is discontinuing his formal institute in favor of the MTI concept where any disciple can become effective marketplace ministers in less than a year.
The follow-up to the institute is found in our book, Holy Spirit Empowered Small Groups. We conducted a one-day workshop on it for the pastors. They were amazed as they saw people getting healed and set free using ordinary believers. Y
