Bend, OR—The anointing and atmosphere of the Holy Spirit is a high priority in our practicum sessions. We exposed the pastors to how it is done from our perspective. We start by praying in our spiritual language which opens our spiritual ears to hear how the Holy Spirit wants to heal the person. If we don’t (or can’t) hear from the Holy Spirit, then we pray according to how Jesus did in scripture. Jesus spoke to the person as if the healing had already happened. This corresponds with 1 Peter 2:24 where our healing was set in motion and is still available by Jesus’ atoning work on the cross.
We practice healing the sick in our weekly practicums over six weeks. Once we establish the mechanics of using scripture and our testimony for healing, we can better pray with confidence. Then, we offer the next practicum of Hearing from God for six more weeks. Student ministers discern that the anointing for healing the sick is always available. They approach ministry by relying more on the Holy Spirit’s instructions than on how others may have shown them. This is what makes our workshops and institutes so powerful. God is free to manifest any way He wants! Y
