Bend, OR—(Our new book) Holy Spirit Empowered Small Groups will be available next month! There is a lot of interest from pastors all over the country about developing small groups that grow and multiply. We have discovered a way this can happen. We know from 25+ years of experience that small groups is where we experience a God who tangibly manifests. The key ingredient is leaders who allow the Holy Spirit freedom to minister through trusted individuals in the small group. It also requires a small group leader who knows how to remain sensitive and obey what the Holy Spirit wants to do. It gets very exciting when the Lord “shifts” the group from nice fellowship, to Spirit-led worship, to listening to God, then obeying and receiving. The group multiplies quickly because everyone experiences God! They are quick to “spread the word” by inviting a friend or neighbor to come and receive Godly direction, get healed, or to be set free of an addiction. We recall the woman at the well in John 4:29 experiencing Jesus face to face, she returned to town and said, “Come, see a man who told me all that I ever did.” You can’t keep still when you have experienced God face to face in a small group.
