New Church Plant Using MTC to Build Leaders
Silverton, Oregon—Pastors Rob and Kathy McKeown of the Silverton Foursquare Church proudly graduated six more enthusiastic ministers who know how to “do the stuff” of ministry. The graduation ceremony featured each graduate receiving prophetic confirmations from the Bend, Oregon MTI prophetic team on July 15. Pastors Rob and Kathy pioneered Silverton Foursquare as a church plant from the Woodburn Foursquare Church in October 2003. Within months they started a Ministry Training Center with 17 key leaders. Pastor Rob says that the MTC training has been the key to rapid growth with leaders that are vision-focused and doing an excellent job at building a solid infrastructure. They plan on using MTC to build more leaders for the future. The church started with a relatively small group of families in a town of about 8,500 and has grown to over one-hundred and fifty in just over 2 1/2 years. The Ministry Training Center graduates are: (first photo—from left to right) Ken Tobin, John Duddy, Sharon Felix (director of MTC), Jeanne and Ardell Pugh, Todd Swanson, and Rick Gustin. Congrats to the grads!
