Bend, OR—Thirteen leaders and pastors from Dallas, Oregon; and Kirkland and Federal Way, Washington converged at our host home (Carl and Karen Berner) in Bend for the April 2-3, 2006 Teacher Intensive. The leaders love the intimate fellowship and warm atmosphere the home and surroundings provide for learning how to conduct a nine-month MTI at their home church. The attendees are offered the first training manual from the Ambassador Series and are shown how best to teach from it. They experience and practice the ministry skills of leading people to Christ, leading Christians into the Holy Spirit baptism, healing the sick, and hearing from God. Everyone enjoys the humor the practicum creates within the groups.
Miracles manifest as the Holy Spirit begins healing and setting people free during the “practice sessions.” The best part of the intensive is when the leaders visit the flagship Ministry Training Institute at Westside Church in Bend. They experience the Spirit-led prayer, worship, teaching, and “hands-on” practicum in live settings alongside the Bend student ministers. It is exciting when each leader is prayed over and receives confirming words from the Holy Spirit.
