Sierra Leone, West Africa—Pastor Ed Sweet, Valley Christian Center, Albany, Oregon took the Ambassador Series to Freetown, Sierra Leone, October 23—November 1, 2005. He and Pastor Dave Brooks, from Philomath, Oregon Foursquare church taught forty-five pastors from the Discipleship One training manuals including the salvation and Holy Spirit practicum sessions. The pastors loved it!
The team of seven also provided a free medical clinic in the Freetown Foursquare Church and participated in the Foursquare National Convention that week.
The pastors were delighted to learn how to conduct the personal ministry skill practicum sessions for their churches. Pastors Ed and Dave emphasized this by saying, “This is not for you—it is for you to use to equip the saints in your churches for the work of the ministry!”
